Check out this great video
I’ve been sitting with this song for about a month—wrestling with the lyrics, shaping the melody, letting it haunt me a little. And last night, we finally recorded it.
I have to tell you: this one’s different. Some of you might even say it’s dark. That’s not my usual lane, but sometimes, the moment calls for a deeper, more raw emotional current. And that’s exactly what came through.
There’s still some mastering work to be done on the music, but I didn’t want to wait any longer. I’m sending you a pre-recording version of the song because I trust your ears—and your heart. I’d love for you to give it a listen and tell me, honestly, how it hits you.
Headphones are recommended. This one is layered and intimate, and I want you to hear it the way it was meant to be heard.
Below, you’ll find a little background on what inspired the song. Once you’ve read that, click the link and let the music speak for itself. Thanks for being part of this journey with me.

“Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” Turns 250—And Under Trump, We Get Neither. Two hundred and fifty years ago, Patrick Henry stood before the Virginia Convention and declared words that would help ignite a revolution: “Give me liberty, or give me death.” It was bold. It was raw. And it meant something. It was a call to throw off tyranny, to rise up against a king who taxed without representation, silenced dissent, and treated freedom like a privilege—not a right.
Now, 250 years later, what are we getting under Trump and his authoritarian circus? A man who praises dictators, bullies the press, uses the DOJ like a personal hit squad, and treats democracy like it’s some annoying obstacle to his ego. What Patrick Henry fought against, Donald Trump is trying to become.
Let’s be real: under Trump’s warped vision of America, liberty isn't for everyone—it's for the loyalists. Speak out? You're “the enemy.” Protest? You're “un-American.” Want to vote? Better bring a passport, a blood test, and a prayer, because they’re coming for your rights. He doesn't want liberty—he wants obedience.
The Founders weren’t perfect. Far from it. But they knew tyranny when they saw it, and they risked their lives to resist it. So how dare Trump and his enablers wave the flag while gutting everything it stands for?
“Give me liberty or give me death” wasn’t a slogan—it was a last stand for freedom. And now, in 2025, it's our turn to answer that call. Because if we sit back while Trump pushes his Project 2025 fantasy, replaces public servants with loyal cronies, and threatens to jail his opponents, we don’t just lose our rights—we lose the soul of this country.
Liberty is not a brand. It’s not a talking point. It’s a fight. And we must be as brave in defending it now as Patrick Henry was 250 years ago. Because if we don't, Trump won't give us liberty—or death. He’ll give us surveillance, censorship, and control. Wrapped in a flag, delivered with a sneer, and sold to the highest bidder. ~

[Intro – whispers over wind, faint echoing bell tolls]
I hear the chains clinking in the wind…
I see the shadows rise again…
Two hundred and fifty years ago… a warning was spoken…
Now it knocks on our door…
[Verse 1]
A storm rolled through Virginia’s halls,
A rebel voice that dared stand tall.
He faced the crown, defied the sword,
And lit a fire with every word.
[Bridge 1 – slow and low]
"Give me liberty,"—he cried to the sky,
"Or give me death," with no fear to die.
Now that same sky darkens with dread,
While the tyrants rise, the dream plays dead.
[Verse 2]
Trump walks with gold, a king without grace,
A mirror of history’s darkest face.
He bends the law, breaks the press,
Sells freedom cheap in a tailored vest.
[Bridge 2 – haunting, spoken halfway]
He praises dictators, spits on the free,
Turns loyalty into tyranny.
This isn't just politics, this is theft—
He gives us neither liberty… nor death.
[Verse 3]
Voters stopped for lack of proof,
Silenced beneath a broken truth.
Marchers labeled as enemies,
While he builds a throne of conspiracies.
You want to vote? Bring a passport, a prayer.
Want to speak? Better not dare.
He wants obedience, not your voice,
And calls it freedom—like we have a choice.
[Verse 4]
But the wind still carries Patrick’s cry,
Across the fields where justice died.
It haunts the halls of Congress now,
As liberty wears a bloodstained crown.
[Bridge 4 – last breath before the final chorus]
So here we stand, one line left to draw,
Between the ashes and the law.
We are the resistance.
We are the breath.
We will choose liberty… or face death.
[Chorus – full power, male vocal with deep echo]
So give me liberty, or give me death,
[Chorus – full power, male vocal with deep echo]
So give me liberty, or give me death,
Liberty's not safe on a shelf…
It lives… only when we fight for it ourselves.
So let the wind remember… let the fire spread…
It’s liberty… or it’s death.
...your move, America.
[Chorus – full power, male vocal with deep echo]
